ABOUT ME

I am a fully qualified, registered and experienced child and adolescent psychotherapist with a first class Masters degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents from Birkbeck College, University of London.

My clinical experience includes working in Primary Care, charitable, school and private practice settings with children and young people aged from 4-24 years. I am trained to work with parental couples and in telephone/e-counselling. I have worked extensively with bereavement/loss, behavioural and conduct difficulties, eating disorders, anxiety, low mood and young people who may be at risk.

I undertake regular continued professional development (CPD) trainings focussed on difficulties particularly affecting children and young people including Working with Developmental Trauma , Eating Disorders and Body Dysmorphia, Suicidality, Self Harm and Traumatic Bereavement (The Tavistock and Portman), Reflective Parenting and Mentalisation based treatments for Families (Anna Freud Centre) and the year Foundation Course at The Institute of Psychoanalysis, London.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) and abide by their codes of ethics. I have full professional liability insurance cover, data protection registration and up to date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate.
